There are many opportunities for students to be involved in individual and / or team sports.
This page details the events offered including dates, who can attend, the event location and other relevant information.

Run / Bike / Run

Westlake Park (if toilet block is available), otherwise Halswell Domain

No cost. Students walk to event. Event scheduled for 11:30 - 3:00pm. Parent helpers needed/
            Swimming

Representative Swimming trials
Year 5-8* students who are strong swimmers and wish to represent the school. *A year 4 student who is 9yrs old on Jan 1, 2016 can participate.
Jellie Park - indoor lane pool
Wednesday 17th February
No cost. Students must be able to swim 50m. Notice to come home week 2
Kauri & Kakano swimming FUN DAY
Whole school

Cost and permission were part of the activities form given to parents. Notice to come home week 2
SW Zone champs
Yr 5-8 students (or Yr 4 9yr old Jan 1st) selected from school swim champs - 15 - 20 students
Wharenui Pool
Tuesday 15th March
No cost but will require parent transport.
Primary School champs
Students who place in top 3 at SW Zone event
Selwyn Aquatic Centre - Rolleston
Thursday 17th April
No cost but will require parent transport
            Triathlon

Primary School champs
up to 10 students in 9, 10, 11 and 12+ age group - mix of boys/girls = total of 40
Pegasus Town
Wednesday 2nd March
No cost but will require parent transport. Entries close 24 Feb. Notice to come home week 3
